Several months after retirement, Tom was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Tom earned his PhD. in English Literature from Columbia University, the same university where Lou Gehrig received a scholarship for football. Tom
passed away last October, with his family by his side. We will
continue to fight for all of the brave warriors who battle this
disease. "May there come across the waters a path of yellow moonlight
to bring you safely home." |
